2018 NEPG National Enduro - Round #6 Cross Fork, PA

Event: National Enduro

Event Date: July 22, 2018

Series: NEPG

Location: Cross Fork, PA

Results: AA Class =  8th    Overall =  51st

Track Conditions: slippery spots but overall good conditions

Comments: Throwing roost on the grass track at the Rattlesnake Enduro. Surprised how good the course was after all the rain Saturday night. Had a lot of fun all day and still working on a few things to try and improve my results.

2018 D16 Sprint Enduro - Byron, IL

Event: Sprint Enduro

Event Date: July 14, 2018

Series: District 16/17

Location: Byron, IL

Results: AA Class = 5th    Overall = 5th

Track Conditions: wet & muddy

Comments: Saturday was a little slippery and hot. Due to all the rain the club shortened the course to one loop and the number of laps were cut in half (four laps total). The course consisted of a small endurocross section, some of the moto track, and woods.

2018 D16 Harescramble - Byron, IL

Results: AA Class = 5th    Overall = 5th

Track Conditions: tacky & rough

Comments: The Forest City Riders put on two days of great racing this past weekend. Sunday was a little better weather with tacky dirt that got rough. Felt a little off but still had fun. This was a memorial race to honor Greg Moss and it was nice to reminisce about “old times”.

Tooth Fairy

Chase lost his first tooth. It was extremely wiggly and he pulled it out all by himself. The tooth fairy brought a crisp $2 bill that night.

2018 D16 Harescramble - Meadow Valley, MN

Series: District 16

Location: Meadow Valley, MN

Results: AA Class =  2nd    Overall =  2nd

Track Conditions: tacky dirt / rocky / mixture of moto track, woods, and grass track

Comments: Father’s Day weekend brought us to Meadow Valley MX in Minnesota. The weather was a scorcher all weekend. When the gun went off on Sunday I was able to grab the hole shot and a little while after that is when my day turned upside down literally. I tried a different line on an off-camber hillside and went down. Everyone got by me before I got going again. That drained me. I put my head down and pushed hard the next lap. I was able to make my way back to the front pack after a couple laps. Then I settled into a conservative pace for two laps and tried to push once again for the last couple laps. I was able to salvage a second-place finish in the extremely hot weather and I was happy with that after how my day started.

Kindergarten Graduation

Chase is really growing up fast! Just celebrated his graduation from Kindergarten with a ceremony and cookie social. We are so proud of the young man he is becoming.
