2017 D16 Harescramble - Adams, WI

Sunday May 7, 2017

The season opener in Adams was a great race. With all the rain we have been getting the Madison Motorcycle Club and land owner Bob Kau were able to lay out a great trail and stay away from most of the wet holes on the property. With great weather for race day I was excited to get the bike out on the trail for some good racing. With the shot of the gun our engines were started and we were off to the first turn. As the AA group came around the pole and over the first dyke I was in the lead and headed into the woods in first place. I battled a little with Mason the first lap across the dam, but once we got back across the dam I started pulling a gap. I kept my head down and pushed the whole race and was able to grab the win with a 2+ minute lead by the end of the day. I felt really good all day and was happy with my race. I would like to thank my family and friends for their help on race day and all my sponsors for all their support this year.  I couldn’t do it with out all of them!

NEPG Round #3 National Enduro 2017

April 30, 2017 - Round #3 - Forest Hill, LA

Louisiana was a race most people want to forget! Around 10 O'clock the skies started to light up with lightning and thunder. In the course of two or three hours we got around 4 inches of rain. Everyone was worried that the forest service was going to cancel the race. The club scrambled and did some re-routing in the morning and shortened the event to keep it going. Every section had its challenges but I was able to keep it on two wheels all day and push when I could to ride smart. I was able to come away with a win in my class and 24th overall. I would like to thank everyone for all their help and support to keep me going and doing well.

Remember keep it between the trees!!

NEPG Round #2 National Enduro 2017

March 19, 2017 - Round #2 - Ormond Beach, FL

We went down early to get some testing done on Thursday and Friday. I left the track feeling confident that my settings were going to be good for the Alligator on Sunday. Race conditions were dry and dusty. The course markings could have been better because a lot of riders (including myself) were getting turned around in numerous times in each section. They ended up throwing out a test because of this mix-up (bummer because it was one of my better tests). Test six was extremely tight compared to the first five tests, but I didn't mind because I like tighter courses.

I ended the day 2nd in 30A (only 10 seconds off first) and 52nd Overall out of 400+ riders.
