2017 District 16 Harescramble - Adams GP

Sunday June 25, 2017 - Adams, WI

This past weekend was a great one! I got to spend my birthday with my family and friends and racing my dirt bike. The Madison Motorcycle Club put on their first G.P. in Adams, WI. It was also my first time racing a GP as well. I signed up for two classes (my normal AA class and for more seat time 30+) and raced two 30 min motos. You couldn't have asked for better weather or track conditions on race day. The temps were cool and mother nature watered the course Saturday night making the sand moist and perfect. My Kenda tires kept me hooked up all day long to come away with two class wins and add to my points for the championship in the AA class. I would like to thank my family and friends for cheering me on all day and for their help throughout the day. Also, a big thank you to all my great sponsors for all their help. I couldn't do what I do with out all your help.

2017 District 16 Enduro - Marquette, MI

Saturday June 10, 2017

I am always excited to go up to Marquette, MI for the Loose Moose Enduro because it is one of my favorite races. The terrain has a little bit of everything up there and if there is moisture in the soil it is awesome! Saturday rolled around and I was ready to get the day started. I knew it was going to be a tough day to grab the overall, because there was some tough competition there, but I was ready for the challenge. The temps were hot but luckily there was a strong breeze and that helped. The club put on a real old school tough enduro. A combination of long tests and hot weather definitely wore riders out after each test. After the first five tests I didn't know how I was doing as far as placement, but I knew I had to have a mistake free ride through the last test (known as the mountain). I told myself to push where I could and use my head to be steady when it got tough. I had a great ride through there and ended up beating my main competition by two minutes in that test. At the end of the race I came up just a little short for the overall win - I missed the overall by only 38 seconds. On this tough and hot 65+ mile course I came home 1st in AA and 2nd Overall. I rode really well today and Tyler and I had almost 4 minutes on third place. It's not how you finish it's what you take away from your results and apply to the next race that gets you the results you want. Now I am more motivated and plan on working hard to get back up on the top step at the next race. I would like to thank my entire family: my wife, son, mom and dad for all that they do chasing me around the hot and dusty races. I couldn't do it without you! I would also like to thank all my great sponsors because without you I wouldn't be able to do it either.

NEPG Round #4 National Enduro 2017

June 4, 2017 - Greensboro, GA

Round 4 of the National Enduro brought us to Greensboro, GA. The weekend looked like it was going to be a hot one with possible rain in the forecast. We got there some time Friday afternoon, we got checked into our hotel and got settled in for the weekend. Saturday we headed out to the club grounds where the start would be to get signed up and to visit with our racing family. Sunday rolled around and I was ready to get the day going. The trail looked like it was going to be perfect; they had gotten rain a couple of days prior and that made the dirt prime. The first four tests conditions were great for me, but as we lined up for test 5 it started to drizzle. It didn't make conditions slick until we got to the start of test 6. Test 6 got to be a little slick in spots but not to bad considering we were riding on clay. For the most part I had a good day. I was able to come home with first in my class and 31st overall. I am happy with my results but I know I can get better overall results so I have a few thing I am going to try and work on and hopefully try and get closer to the top 20 at the next round. I would like to thank everyone who helps me: my family for all their support before, during, and after my races and also to all my great sponsors because without you it would be a lot harder for me to chase my dreams.
